About
her story

Tia Blue is a seasoned Clinical Social Worker & Social Services Manager. She is a Professional Trainer, Facilitator, Mentor & Former Adjunct Professor at Morgan State University. Ms. Blue started her professional career as a graduate of Morgan State’s BSW Program in 1998 and went on to earn her MSW from University of Maryland, School of Social Work in Baltimore, Maryland in 2002. In 2008, Ms. Blue became a Certified Social Worker and added the coveted letters of LCSW-C to her title. Ms. Blue has held several positions in the field of Social Work including Licensed Therapist, Mental Health Specialist, Supervisor & Manager. The most important positions that she holds are that of Mother & Aunt.  Ms. Blue has a 23 year old daughter that she raised independently while completing college and beginning her career.  Her daughter, Kasean and three nieces, London, Kennedie & KaLynn motivate her daily to continue moving forward in personal and professional development and growth.  Ms. Blue is the former Program Manager for Child Protective Services in Baltimore City.  While serving in this position, Ms. Blue lead her staff on a journey to meet all program goals and successfully implemented Alternative Response, a new statewide initiative for families involved in the Child Welfare System in Maryland.  Ms. Blue endeavors to continue to train, teach, encourage and empower individuals to live their best life both personally and professionally. KEPT is her debut release.
